I am ViBErance. This is my story. Tourette Syndrome involves uncontrollable repetitive movements or unwanted sounds (tics), such as repeatedly blinking the eyes, shrugging shoulders, or blurting out offensive words. It is never easy for anybody. I started seeing a "difference" with myself in second grade. Which is normal, most will start in their early childhood. Needless to say, it was a very hard time growing up personally. Trying to "fit in" with the "normal" crowd. I always wondered WHYYYYYYY! Why me, why not him, why not her, why not them. Fast forward to about 3 years ago, i have come to terms with accepting my " condition." I have never seen it as my STRUGGLE but as my STRENGTH. NEVER LIMIT YOURSELF because you feel as though you are not worth enough, you cannot do it, and most importantly NEVER TELL YOURSELF NO. Conquer all you want to because you deserve it. No one else can get in the way but you. Tell yourself you are worth it and accept yourself because it STARTS WITH YOU. I want share my story with whomever is watching because I know that many can relate to not only Tourette Syndrome, but also Mental Health and being part of the LGBTQ Community. I am a openly Gay Asian Man who has Tourette Syndrome and is finally ready to share my story, Spread Awareness, Inspire others to be themselves and most importantly use my VOICE to impact and influence the society we live in today. This is the beginning of #TheVIBEranceMovement, we are the #TheVibers. My name is Phillip and THIS IS MY STORY.
